I have always enjoyed learning more about lives of the wards of the Lady of Devices, and two of my favorites are Maggie and Jake. Here we have a young woman, determined to set up her own house in order to continue her studies in genetics with her lovely chickens with two youngsters to assist with the cleaning and maintaining of the home. Danger lurks and there are thoughts and feelings that have long been hidden. Perhaps the time has come to share them.
This book and this series are a must read for everyone. I started this series not long after the Lady made her first appearance and was hooked from the 1st chapter. The books came out at regular intervals and the story arcs blend together so well that I feel as though I have been reading a single book for years that has never let me down. Also, the re-readability of this series is beyond measure. Every time I go thru it, I find something new and wonderful.
Another take of the moppsies, from the battlements of a forbodding castle in Europe to the sun famed dessert of the New Territories in the Americas Lady Clare has counted on the resourcefulness of Maggie and Lizzy. Now the girls are grown to young women and seeking their own place in the world.Lizzy has found her place at the side of an Airship capain, where will Maggie find hers? Read Holly Cottage and see!
Each novella gets better and better. This one Maggie gets her own little cottage and trouble finds the flock. Alice and Ian are there to help clean it up. Claire comes to the rescue of Jake and Maggie I wonder if those two will be together read it and find out. Awesome characters of you haven't read Magnificent Devices I recommend starting that series first. You will love all of the characters
Shelley Adina is an excellent writer. It was so good to hook up with some of the characters and see where they are going in their lives. Maggie has decided not to go back to school in Munich and has purchased a house for herself and her chickens on the south side where there old stomping grounds were. Life could get interesting there and does.
Another Grand Read, I enjoy reading this serious, the worse part is waiting for the next book to be released.Thank you Shelley for another great read, I know my reviews suck, but I enjoy the serious. More inventions would be a good thing.
Finally Jake and Maggie reach an understanding amidst chickens, the sparrows and the unexpected attack of the area’s notorious gang.
I love reading about the flock and their adventures. I look forward to the next book. I hope it's out soon.
