Its a good book, written well if not a little too concise on the details. Main issue here is the author doesn't keep the online source code up to date with the latest releases of Ionic, making it obsolete as soon as the book is delivered.

Covers same basics as everyone else and does not provide updates for thing that changed eeven before release

This is an excellent resource for anyone interested in writing mobile apps for iOS and/or Android platforms. I love the fact that the author includes an extra guide for updating to Ionic 3 (which came out after this book was published). I don't always want to use the newest software version in production, but I do want to know about breaking changes and latest features. Also, the author is very active on twitter and in the open source community, so if you have any questions about this book he's great about responding to his readers. Highly recommend this book!

A hastily written guide. The book has been out for 3 weeks and is already massively outdated. Note the "Revised Edition" on the cover; it is meaningless. Even the basic framework set-up instructions require stack-overflow searches to actually work. Written for Ionic 3.4.0 and Angular2. Worth 1/4 of the price. Watch youtube, instead.
