This is really basic info, good for a person who needs an intro type explanation. I do think that for that given it apparently being for that type audience the index is poor. You'd need to know variations of how a condition might be categorized (e.g., COPD) to know where info might be located within the book.
Did not find the detail that I expected from the Mayo Clinic. It read like a compilation of articles one has read in magazines covering general topics. Probably would be useful for a young family but for seniors like myself we need detailed information on specific subjects.
I want a health guide that starts with body systems & problems, e.g. "digestive" or "respiratory." This book just lists medical issues alphabetically, & one has no idea where to begin with home health treatment. For instance, "Fever" is listed as a medical issue, but the explanation is not in the context of any health issue that might cause a fever. Not helpful at all. We've got to find something else. Our old Blue Cross Blue Shield "Healthwise Handbook" is great, but it's from the 1990's or something & we need something up-to-date.
Easy to read, comprehend, and understand for a lay person. Text is large and not too much text on a page. Great for those with vision issues and those without much medical knowledge. Highly recommend.
Bought as a reference for health issues. I rely on Mayo advice.

Well written. Used simple relatable terms. After having a baby, there are few things you will really want to know. Perfect book.
